The Healing Powers of the Water Element
Water is our most vital resource and regulative force, as has become visible in our climatic changes – especially in Cape Town the physical reality of lacking water has dominated our lives and raised our awareness of global inter-connectedness.
The cyclic movement of water is unique with its capacity of transformation into the three physical states of ice – liquid – gas (evaporation) and its ability to bind, cleanse and transport. By permeating our planet below, on and above the ground, Water keeps our planet alive and at an operational state and temperature!
In astrological terms we can relate this to the Water Triade – the fixed, cardinal and mutable signs of Scorpio, Cancer and Pisces and their expressions of the creative, nurturing and regenerative Powers of the Water Element. We will also look at the relationship of the three Water Houses ( 4th, 8th and 12th ) and their connected fields of experience, keeping in mind that they are always opposite the Earth Signs and Houses, forming the axis of the so-called negative polarities.
Incidentally on this day we have four planets in Scorpio and two in Pisces, including Chiron, known as the “wounded healer” returning for a last time into Pisces before moving on to a new 50 year cycle.
About Michaela Meiser
I was born in Austria on 9 October 1966 and emigrated to South Africa in late 1988 after meeting a South African in my last year of studying for my tourism college degree in Salzburg. My sons were born here in 1990 and 1992 and I started studying astrology with Monica Cromhout in 1999. Soon after I met Marelna du Plessis on one of the CAA talks and embarked on her 2 year course on Polarity Therapy, before moving back to Austria with my sons in late 2002 for their international education. Although still in the travel business full time, my passion for astrology and polarity have remained. Further courses over the years have also taken me into a more psychological and philosophical direction and I am currently studying with the Faculty in London to gain my Diploma.
