The Astrology of Love: Using this Art to become Free & Conscious in our Relationships

A few months ago, Margarita sat down at an astrologers’ gathering, to lead a discussion on Relationship Astrology (Synastry). Upon sharing her life stories and astrological observations, she came to a realisation – that her spiritual path had been primarily led by the partners she had chosen throughout her life, and her experience in different relationships seemed to be vast and varied to the people around her – and that these stories had a purpose, which was to help others understand their own relationships better.

Having always dabbled in Relationship Astrology as a passion and always knowing she wished to specialise here, she has decided to finally put together a talk based on her experience in her own life as well as with clients, along with the observations she has made during her time as a writer on the Astrology of Relationships.

This talk is aimed at those with some knowledge of their own charts, will be humorous, insightful, and hopefully, serve as a guiding light for this most tricky part of life and by and large, a huge reason why people come for astrological readings.

Margarita Celeste, Dip. Traditional Astrology

Margarita Celeste is a practicing Traditional Astrologer, who graduated from the celebrated astrologer, Rod Suskin’s School of Astrology, with a distinction after 3 years of formal study. She has always had a passion for the planets and the stars, with Linda Goodman as her Gateway Drug into the magical world of astrology when she was a teenager. Having first studied Vedic (Eastern) Astrology, she decided to make her discipline in Traditional Hellenistic Astrology originating from the ancient Greek world. She has taken her art worldwide on her travels, holding classes and workshops, consultations and talks in various conscious communities, and after some time felt called to bring the workshops to Cape Town, to the flourishing spiritual community.

The CAA Committee

Dear CAA members and community,

It is my pleasure to announce that Nancy Massing is the new Chairperson of the Cape Astrology Association. Nancy has been a pillar of the CAA during my term as Chairperson, since November 2014 and helped to ensure that we stayed on track. Thank you Nancy, I know the CAA is in good hands going forward!

Furthermore, we are delighted to share with you that the legendary Human Ephemeris, Nick Dagan Best, has joined the CAA committee as our Librarian. Nick is hatching some exciting plans to get folks more engaged with our precious (and growing!) collection of astrology books. Watch this space.

Many thanks also to Cheryl Hill for keeping it tidy at the Treasury. Due to Cheryl’s diligence in managing the CAA funds, we are liquid and our records are crystal clear and up to date.

The stability that has been achieved in the past 2 years has been thanks in great measure to finding a perfect home for the CAA and its library at the Shamballah Holistic Centre near Cape Point. Thank you, Ana Carrapichano for sharing this magical venue with us.

Thanks to our many members, visitors and speakers for your support; you are the reason the CAA exists.

Here’s to the bright future of astrology in Cape Town!
